Responsible volunteering in Cambodia
Are you keen to become a volunteer in Cambodia? Can you imagine yourself supporting underprivileged families in Phnom Penh? Then COLT might just be the place for you. We are a community that collaborates in an ethical way with volunteers and local staff. Volunteers can be involved in teaching, maintenance, extra-curricular activities, the medical clinic or the day care. Before and during your stay you are supported and guided by an experienced, international coach who lives locally.

Volunteering is not a holiday. Of course it will be an adventure to live and work for a longer period in Phnom Penh. However, it is essential that you take your placement seriously and really want to contribute something to children’s development and the organisation. Additionally, you are expected to be aware that you become a part of our community. This means adjusting to the methods and rules of COLT. We expect you to always put the children’s interest first and adhere our Child Protection Policy.

Organising a fundraising event is highly appreciated, but not mandatory;

Sign up to become a volunteer
There are two ways to sign up for volunteer’s work:
-
Directly with COLT’s volunteer coordinator. You apply for a placement by sending your motivation and CV (in English) to info@colt-cambodia.org. If you meet all conditions and there is a vacancy in the period you chose, you are most welcome to join the COLT family! We expect you to arrange your own flights, accommodation and other practical issues, but of course will provide some useful tips.
-
Sign up at STAR Kampuchea. During your registration, make sure that you clearly indicate that you want to be placed at COLT. They will organise all practical issues like transport from the airport, accommodation and introduction days. For more information, please visit www.starkampuchea.org.kh
